About Us
We began making soy candles 5 years ago after learning about the carcinogenic chemicals contained in paraffin wax candles. At first we made them for enjoyment, sharing them with friends and family. We spent years perfecting the art of candle making and fragrance blending. We wanted our candles to be healthy for both people and the environment! After trying many different combinations of waxes, essential oils and pure fragrances, we have found the right combination of ingredients that yield amazing candles!! Once we were confident in our candle making we formed Nohm Candles. The name came from our family name for grandma (Nomi), our love of gnomes and the sound made during meditation (ohm). We think the name is a perfect combination of what we want our candle experience to be: warm, comforting and relaxing.
Today we continue working on new fragrances and products. We will be introducing new candles and scents as well as a skin care line in the future. We are very excited about the future of our company and hope you will be too.
